Kevin’s ‘Why’ is to help inspire a movement towards truly ‘people centred’ companies and building great leaders. Kevin describes himself as ‘hard wired to help people’.
Kevin has worked in senior HR leadership roles in a diverse range of organisations including high growth SMEs, large corporates, and the public sector. A CIPD qualified professional with over 19 years of experience building HR capability within business, Kevin thrives on the challenge of cultivating workplace cultures that live and breathe high performance.
Never forgetting the real reason we go to work every day, Kevin loves spending quality time with his wife Kelly, their three children and walking his chocolate Labrador dog Rolo.
During her time as Managing Director of a successful family business Nicola’s job meant working closely with many different types of business both in the UK and abroad. A Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Managers Nicola has a practical and hands on approach, helping bring clarity to the challenges that as business leaders we are sometimes too close to and cannot see a way through. Nicola knows that through exploration, change, support and development there are tangible benefits for our people and organisations.
Naturally curious Nicola loves a good work challenge to unpick and if you chat with Nicola you will find she usually has a big personal goal she is working towards as well. In recent time she has helped organise and taken part in a charity 6 Peaks Challenge and a family team run of the London Marathon. In her spare time you will find Nicola with family and friends in the great outdoors, eating or drinking coffee !
Lisa’s passion is to champion better working lives and to inspire great leadership in business. A CIPD qualified professional and 14 years experience in learning and development, She has provided learning, coaching and assessment to different levels of leaders in the business skills sector. Lisa is now combining her L&D skills with a HR generalist role and is able to support businesses with their HR function as well as focusing on people engagement and development.
Lisa has the ability to adapt to different situations that is presented before her and is able to provide support in a range of different areas. She is good at supporting business leaders and their people alike, and inspiring them to collectively create people centered businesses.
Outside of Lisa’s passion she enjoys social events with family and friends, and spending quality time with her children and partner.
Julie loves helping others. She lives by the ethos of treating others fairly and believes the people who work for your business, are your business. She prides herself on her great customer service, administration skills, and is adept at using her patience and personality to motivate and develop others.
Julie initially worked within the banking sector for 10 years, as an office supervisor and Mortgage Adviser, then moved within Central and Local Government for 18 years, specialising in finance and Business Support roles, including Health and Safety. She worked within the Data Protection field for 4 of these years.
Julie enjoys socialising with close friends and family and loves walking her golden retriever Jake with her husband and spending time with her teenage boys.
Rob’s Purpose is to help other people realise their potential through inspiring, supporting, challenging, coaching and encouraging – putting people at the heart of everything.
He describes himself as a catalyst to encourage, inspire others to change, develop, discover, fly.
Rob has worked in a wide range of organisations from the large commercial to the small engineering businesses as well as Public Sector, with over 30 years experience of helping develop High Performing Teams, challenging managers to become true leaders and a real passion for helping create a movement for culture change and new thinking.
The love of Rob’s life, Claire and their wonderful 2 boys, their wives and grandson are the centre of everything and the true reason Why.
Rob loves cycling, moorland walking and drone flying as a hobby.
Jo’s focus is to bring a positive approach to her coaching and consultancy work and she facilitates those she works with to develop their own understanding, awareness and insights. Jo, herself, has a highly professional approach with her own strong clear personal values, high personal integrity and an ethical approach to her work.
Jo is highly skilled at using a range of coaching methods and techniques and incorporates a coaching approach into all aspects of her HR consultancy work. Jo also brings her own strong belief and passion that everyone can achieve their very best when given the right opportunities and environment to the work she does with clients.
Jo is a highly experienced HR Consultant and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD) as well as a qualified Executive Coach (ILM level 7), together with over 20 years of experience working with senior managers and leaders across the commercial, charity and public sectors. Her main area of expertise is working with leaders on leading and implementing improvement and change.
Over the years Bruce has worked with many Business owners and leadership/management teams to help them grow, position and market their businesses by developing and more importantly implementing the strategies to maximize increased revenues and profitability.
Bruce operates as an external and independent advisor/consultant/ NED on a retained project basis or in some cases taking on the role of a part time Marketing, Business Development, Commercial Director where the size of the organisation does not warrant a full time role but where the importance of an ongoing commercial business advisor, marketing and business development function is recognised.
Bruce loves his sport, especially rugby, and still has visions of playing for the Allblacks! In addition he is a fitness fanatic which he attributes to needing to run after his 4 young children!
Lauren is led by the belief that ultimately it is the people that you employ who allow a company to differentiate itself from its competitors and achieve success. This being so, Lauren supports both SMEs and large corporations explore and implement initiatives to allow team members to feel valued and to continuously develop and empower them within their roles, as well as ensuring their talents are developed and the opportunity progress is presented.
Lauren encompasses a full generalist portfolio including writing and updating policies, ensuring companies are aware and adhere to compliance, developing and running talent and leadership programmes, creating and presenting training programmes on employment law matters, carrying-out large scale restructures and redundancies programmes, through to supporting companies faced with a variety of claims, settlement agreements or tribunal proceedings.
For the past 10 years Lauren has been practising HR within London but has now returned to Devon. Outside of HR, you will often find Lauren running along the clifftops or paddle-boarding around our beautiful Devon coast.
