We’re passionate about humanising the world of work. Founded in the heart of the South West, we partner with organisations to create workplaces where people truly thrive.
OurStory
Work should be more human.
This simple belief sparked the creation of Apex HR and continues to drive everything we do today. We exist to transform workplaces where people don’t just clock in and survive, they flourish, grow, and find genuine fulfilment in what they do.
Since our founding, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with over 100 businesses across Devon, Cornwall, the South West and beyond. From ambitious start-ups taking their first steps to established family businesses with decades of heritage, we’ve witnessed something remarkable: when you get the people part right, everything else follows.
It’s not just about policies and procedures, though we excel at those too. It’s about understanding that behind every employee is a person with hopes, challenges, and untapped potential. When organisations recognise this and create environments where their people can truly thrive, the results speak for themselves: increased engagement, improved retention, stronger performance, and workplaces that people are genuinely excited to be part.
Today, we’re proud to be recognised as one of the South West’s leading HR consultancies. But what sets us apart isn’t just our expertise, it’s our approach. Every solution we craft is tailored with care, every relationship we build is founded on genuine trust, and every outcome we pursue is measured by the positive impact on real people’s lives.
Because at the end of the day, successful businesses aren’t built on spreadsheets and strategies alone. They’re built on people. And people deserve to work somewhere that values their humanity.
That’s the Apex difference. That’s what happens when HR gets personal.
Our Values
These aren’t just words on our wall – they’re the principles that guide every decision, every interaction, and every solution we create.
Putting People First
We keep our clients and our team at the heart of every decision.
Doing the Right Thing
We act with integrity, we do the right thing not the easy thing.
Making a Difference
We create meaningful impact in everything we do.
Simplifying the Complex
We turn complicated challenges into clear solutions.
Walking the Talk
We live our values through our actions, not just our words.
Coaching, not Managing
We develop and empower people rather than control them.
Listening & Learning
We stay curious and grow through feedback and new perspectives.
